Download Gridvana
GitHub Releases provides native builds for Apple Silicon, Intel Macs, Windows x86_64, and Linux x86_64.
v0.1.2 adds a Linux x86_64 build and ships four archives: macOS aarch64 (Apple Silicon), macOS x86_64 (Intel), Windows x86_64, and Linux x86_64. macOS builds are ad-hoc signed, so the system may ask you to confirm the first launch.

- .gvn schema V6
Requirements
- macOS: distributed as a .app bundle — aarch64 for Apple Silicon, x86_64 for Intel
- Windows: 64-bit, unzip and run Gridvana.exe directly
- Linux: x86_64, extract the tar.gz archive and run Gridvana
- Native Rust app with no additional runtime
Install
Choose your platform
Download the macOS aarch64 / x86_64, Windows x86_64, or Linux x86_64 archive from GitHub Releases.
macOS: move to Applications
Unzip and drag Gridvana.app into your Applications folder, then Control-click it and choose “Open” the first time.
Windows / Linux: extract and run
On Windows, unzip and double-click Gridvana.exe. On Linux, extract the tar.gz archive and run Gridvana. If SmartScreen appears, choose “More info” → “Run anyway”.
Build from source
Or clone the repository and run it with Rust installed, on macOS (with the Xcode Command Line Tools), Windows, or Linux:
$git clone https://github.com/osdodo/gridvana.git$cd gridvana$cargo build --workspace$cargo test --workspace$cargo run --package appThese commands match the application README. The release workflow uses cargo-bundle to create the .app for Apple Silicon and Intel separately, and builds directly extractable binaries for Windows and Linux.
Having trouble?
- macOS: if “Open” is unavailable, launch once, then choose “Open Anyway” under System Settings → Privacy & Security.
- Windows: if SmartScreen blocks the app, click “More info”, then “Run anyway”.
- Linux: if the app does not start, make sure the distribution provides the Wayland or X11 desktop libraries required by the windowing stack.
- Only remove the macOS quarantine attribute as described in the repo README when you trust the download; do not disable Gatekeeper globally.
